Configurations

The new 2024 Dodge Durango offers four engine options, each more impressive than the last.

The star of the show is definitely the 6.2L Supercharged HEMI® V8. It churns out 710 horsepower and 645 lb-ft of torque, rocketing you to 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds. It also boasts a best-in-class 8,700-lb max towing capacity.

The formidable 6.4L HEMI® V8 is no slouch either. It generates 475 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque, reaching 60 mph in 4.4 seconds—very quick for an SUV this size.

The middle trim levels come standard with a 5.7L HEMI® V8 ENGINE. This one delivers a solid 360 hp and 390 lb-ft of torque. While the towing capacity is slightly lower than the top-tier engines, it can still handle up to 7,400 lbs. That's way more than most other SUVs on the market.

Even the entry-level Durangos have some pep in their step thanks to the 3.6L Pentastar® V6 Engine. It serves up 295 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. Both rear- and all-wheel drive are available, depending on the trim level.

2024 Special Edition Packages

One last chance for glory! Dodge is honoring Durango’s swan song with a special Last Call edition. Plus, popular Blacktop Appearance groups return across multiple trims. Here are some special packages you can buy for the 2024 Dodge Durango.

Blacktop Packages

Back for 2024, Blacktop Appearance groups add stealthy, sinister styling touches to several Durango trims. Enjoy blacked-out exterior badging, wheels, mirrors, and other gloss black accents like grilles and exhaust tips. Certain models also feature an all-black monochromatic paint scheme.

The exact content varies slightly depending on trim level. But the result remains an aggressive, noir look.

2024 Durango Trim Levels

With 15 trim choices—including plus and premium sub-trims—it's easy to find your ideal 2024 Dodge Durango.

2024 dodge durango sxt

SXT

The SXT opens the range as the most affordable way into a new Durango. Under the hood, you'll find the 3.6L Pentastar V6 matched to an 8-speed automatic transmission.

Outside, the SXT rolls on 18-inch Tech Silver aluminum wheels and has auto on/off LED headlights. Once you get inside with keyless Enter 'n Go, you'll see that it comfortably fits seven passengers across three rows. You're treated to heated front seats and steering wheel on cold days. The user-friendly Uconnect 4 system includes Apple CarPlay/Android Auto support and an 8.4-inch touchscreen. Likewise, a 7-inch driver information display puts vital vehicle information right in your field of view.

Upgrading to the SXT Plus adds a power sunroof to let fresh air and light fill the cabin.

2024 dodge durango gt

GT

The GT brings more excitement through performance-inspired details like 20-inch Fine Silver aluminum wheels and dual exhaust tips. You also get a power liftgate, paddle shifters, and a performance hood with heat extractors. The cabin feels more upscale thanks to amenities like remote start, security alarm, heated front seats, and Uconnect 5 infotainment with a 10.1-inch touchscreen.

Opting for the GT Plus gains you heated and ventilated Nappa leather seats in the first two rows. It also adds memory settings for the driver's seat and side mirrors.

At the top of the range, the GT Premium doubles down on luxury with a premium Alpine audio system with nine speakers and a subwoofer. Plus, there is now a wireless charging pad alongside a hand-wrapped instrument panel with carbon fiber accents.

2024 dodge durango citadel

Citadel

The ritzy Citadel is just as glamorous as it sounds. You're surrounded by upscale materials and styling like Nappa leather seats with contrast stitching and perforated inserts. You get standard three-row seating with second-row captain's chairs. So, instead of a bench, passengers in the middle get their own individual seats with armrests.

It rides on distinct 20-inch Satin Carbon aluminum wheels with Platinum chrome accents sprinkled tastefully around the exterior. For the first time ever, you can set up the Citadel with the Tow N Go package to gain an impressive 8,700+ lb max towing capacity.

The Citadel is so loaded with features that there are no "Plus" or "Premium" versions.

R/T

The R/T opens the door to the Durango's performance side. Its 5.7L HEMI V8 supplies a stout 360 horsepower and 390 lb-ft of torque - enough grunt for sub-5-second 0-60 mph sprints. An active performance exhaust adds an aggressive rumble befitting the R/T badge. Available Tow N Go haul up to 8,700 lbs.

To help with control, the R/T gets a performance-tuned steering and suspension setup. Dodge didn't forget about styling, either. The R/T proudly wears big "HEMI" badges on the front fenders and the widebody flares give the R/T a bulldog stance for an aggressive, planted appearance.

Inside, the R/T links drivers with Uconnect 5 with a 10.1-inch touchscreen and Dodge Performance Pages to monitor vitals like g-forces, 0-60 times, and more.

The R/T Plus enhances luxury with standard Nappa leather seats, a power sunroof, and sports-styled steering wheel. As for the R/T Premium, it brings a hand-wrapped dash, carbon fiber interior trim, and audiophile sound via a 19-speaker Harman Kardon system. You'll also enjoy the rain-sensitive windshield wipers and the habitual wireless charging pad.

SRT 392

The SRT 392 transforms the Durango into a high-performance SUV thanks to its 475-hp 6.4L HEMI V8. Massive Brembo brakes and specially tuned suspension and steering components keep all that power under control. The standard "392" model rides on a Bilstein active-damping suspension.

Inside, the SRT 392 coddles drivers and passengers with an array of upgrades, like the Column-Mounted SRT Paddle Shifters. Plus, you get Nappa leather seats with suede, a flat-bottom SRT steering wheel, and your choice of carbon fiber or metal trim. The wireless charging pad now comes standard.

The Plus package adds higher-grade Laguna leather with contrast stitching and embroidery. As always, the power sunroof is also present. Or go all-out with the Premium model, which brings red seat belts, SRT flat-bottom wheel, and 20-inch Hyper Black Aluminum Wheels.

There is also the SRT Black package to consider, which gives you a blacked-out appearance. Choose it to receive gray metallic badges and 20-inch Lights Out wheels. The Eclipse Black exhaust tips complete the look.

Hellcat

Finally, we come to the king of the hill. The awe-inspiring Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat. This is the one you want if having the most horsepower is your ultimate goal. As you might have guessed, the Hellcat is powered by the same supercharged 6.2L HEMI V8 that Dodge shoehorns into the Challenger and Charger Hellcat models.

If you want a more upscale interior, the Hellcat offers Plus and Premium trims just like the lesser models. The Plus gets you ventilated Laguna leather seats, a power sunroof, and rain-sensitive windshield wipers.

Premium models add a 19-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, a hand-wrapped instrument panel, and real carbon fiber trim.
